When graphing an inequality, use a filled-in circle to include a number and an open circle to exclude it.

The inequality

means that

can be any number less than 2.

Since

cannot be equal to 2, there should be an open circle located on 2. Also, since

can be less than 2, there should also be an arrow pointing to the left.
